Snapshots

Snapshots
Walking through the memory lane
Seeing them all again
Grinning at all that I’ve gained
And weeping about the lost
I passed through the graveyard of broken dreams
And the garden of blooms of hope
Then flashed, the light, capturing all it sees
All the things I’ve gained and lost
Their images, framed and saved
As snapshots in my mind
As snapshots that remind
I’ve sunk to the seabed, touched the skies
And all I’ve done, foolish and wise
As snapshots I’ve saved
As snapshots they remain
Chasing the tide of time , I saw
The sunrays piercing the night
Another year had passed away
And the next to be in light
The passing wave washed away the past
And the list of resolutions to be realized
This time, the new year is coming fast
